Hi, I'm Dr. Cynthia Phelps
I am your Guide, Advocate, and Cheerleader through the healing process of the inner voice.
Self-Compassion is the ability to be kind and supportive of yourself, especially in times of challenge.
I discovered the power of Self-Compassion during my journey through addiction recovery. As a researcher, I needed to see the proof.
What I discovered not only opened up the world of recovery, but also led to profound insights beneficial to our general health and well being.
It turns out how you speak to yourself is the key to obtaining many of the things YOU want in life, such as:
- Better relationships and more.
I am a:
Helping people address burnout, overwhelm, feeling stuck, perfectionism, anxiety and depression by working with their inner voice is my favorite thing to do.
From conference keynotes to intimate workshops, I love to be able to guide and inspire. Let me adapt a program for you, be it an online or an in-person, corporate or community.
Should we work together?
If you are struggling or not playing at the top of your game, consider how you are speaking to yourself. If you are using harsh or critical language to try to motive yourself, then let's talk. There is a more effective, less painful way, and I want YOU to have access to it.
People Say I'm: Intelligent, Creative, Compassionate.
I strive to give you smart, creative solutions to the challenges you are facing. Each of these characteristics play a pivotal role in my teaching and coaching.
Although I’m very serious about my work, grounding it in principles from research, in person, I’m upbeat, enthusiastic and sometimes downright silly.
I strive to make InnerAlly better every time I teach the class or work with a new coaching client. Keeping up-to-date in research-based methods is a large part of this process.
